Space Apps Port Said

About Space Apps Port Said

We believe innovation doesn't need a passport. It starts with curiosity, open data, and 48 hours of bold thinking.

Our mission

NASA International Space Apps Challenge is the largest annual global hackathon, connecting hundreds of cities worldwide through a shared mission: solving real challenges using NASA's open data — on Earth, and beyond.

In Port Said, we bring together coders, designers, engineers, students, and dreamers for 48 hours of building, learning, and creating. Our goal is to prove that world-class innovation can come from any city, any background, and any age.

Whether you're tracking climate change through satellite imagery or designing tools for future Mars missions, Space Apps Port Said gives you a seat at the global table — complete with NASA's datasets, expert mentorship, and a community that believes in you.

Our story so far

Space Apps Port Said first launched in 2022, when a small group of passionate organizers decided that our city deserved a spot on the global innovation map. What started with a single venue and a handful of teams has grown into one of the most anticipated tech events in the region.

Over the past editions, we've hosted 500+ participants, produced 100+ projects, and earned recognition from NASA's global jury. Our teams have tackled everything from ocean pollution tracking to AI-powered agricultural forecasting.

This year, we're going bigger — with more challenges, more mentors, and more opportunities for Port Said's brightest minds to shine on the world stage.
