About

NASA International Space Apps Challenge is the largest annual global hackathon, bringing together hundreds of cities around the world in one mission: using NASA's open data to solve real challenges — on Earth, and beyond.

In Port Said, we're building more than an event. For 48 hours, coders, designers, engineers, and dreamers from our city come together to think, build, and create — proving that innovation isn't limited to Silicon Valley or NASA's own labs. It happens right here, in our classrooms, cafés, and campuses.

Space Apps Port Said isn't just about winning a challenge. It's about giving young minds in our city a real seat at a global table — access to NASA's data, mentorship from real experts, and a community that believes problems on Earth can be solved with the same ambition we send to space.

Challenges

This year, NASA has released 18 global challenges spanning Earth science, space exploration, artificial intelligence, planetary research, and more. From tracking climate patterns using satellite data to designing tools that support future space missions, each challenge reflects a real problem NASA and its partners are working to solve.

Teams in Port Said will choose one challenge and spend 48 hours building a real solution — using open data, mentorship from industry experts, and pure creativity. Whether you're a developer, designer, scientist, or someone with a bold idea and no coding experience at all, there's a challenge — and a team — for you.
